About The Show
Inspired by the story-telling magic of ABBA’s timeless songs, MAMMA MIA! comes aboard Royal Caribbean with its funny tale of family and friendship unfolding on a tiny Greek isle.

Dancers
Seeking strong, professional, and versatile dancers 18+ with styles that include Contemporary, Jazz, Theater Dance, Showgirl, and Hip Hop.
Dancers should have strong stage presence including a wide range of physical and emotional expression, performance quality, and the ability to command the stage.
Singers
Strong singers, with professional performance background (i.e. theater, concert, etc.).
Versatile vocalists able to harmonize and perform a wide variety of contemporary music genres, including Pop/Rock, R&B/Soul, Gospel, Contemporary Musical Theater/Broadway, and Jazz. Movement or dance background and strong acting ability a plus.
Female Presenting (All Ethnicities)
- Strong, controlled belt/mix to F5 legit to C6.
Male Presenting (All Ethnicities)
- Tenors and Bari-tenors with strong falsetto extension. Must be able to comfortably sing and sustain up to A4. Falsetto to F5.
Vocalists
Seeking Vocalists:
Strong singers with professional performance background (i.e. theater, concert, etc.). Versatile vocalists able to harmonize and
perform a wide variety of contemporary music genres, including Pop/Rock, R&B/Soul, Gospel, Contemporary Musical Theater/Broadway,
and Jazz. Movement or dance background and strong acting ability a plus.
Candidates must be available and willing to travel internationally aboard our ships.

Sophie’s friend. Impulsive and fun. Should contrast to Lisa and Sophie. Should sing and dance extremely well.

Bill
Featured Singer
May be Sophie’s father. A travel writer with no possessions or strings. Good-natured, always ready for adventure.
Funny, preferably a big or imposing man. Should be a very good actor who sings. High Baritone.
Donna
Featured Singer
The mother of a 20 year old girl. Attractive and free-spirited.
A former lead singer in a group called “Donna and the Dynamos” who now owns and runs a hotel/casino on a Greek island.
A strong feminist who also has a zany and vulnerable side. Alto/Mezzo.
Eddie
Ensemble, Dancer/Vocalist
Another friend of Sky and hotel worker. Laid-back, easygoing. Must be a strong mover/dancer. Bari-Tenor.

Strong dancers who sing. Additional understudies/covers will be cast out of the Ensemble.

Harry
Featured Singer
May be Sophie’s father. British financier, wealthy, buttoned-up, and conservative but trying to reconnect with his freer, youthful self.
Must be able to do a very convincing English accent. Actor who sings. Proficient acoustic guitar player, a plus. High Bari-Tenor.
Lisa
Ensemble, Dancer/Vocalist
Sophie’s friend who arrives to be a bridesmaid. Very energetic and kooky. Should sing and dance extremely well.
Must attend dancer call.
Male Ensemble
Strong dancers who sing. Some featured male ensemble roles have dance specialties for which Russian split jumps and acrobatics are a plus.
Additional understudies/covers will be cast out of the Ensemble.

Pepper

Sky’s friend. Helps run the hotel. Charming, loves women, always flirting.
Must be a strong mover/dancer. Acrobatic skills a plus. Bari-Tenor.

Featured Singer
A former singer in the “Dynamos” who now writes for and runs a feminist press. She’s confident, strong, and funny on the outside but shy underneath.
Kooky and fun, good comic actress, bit of a clown. Actress who sings. Alto/Mezzo.
Sam
Featured Singer
May be Sophie’s father. Left Donna 20 years ago because he was engaged to another woman. Charming, successful architect. Actor who sings. Bari-Tenor.
Sky
Featured Singer
Sophie’s fiancé. Athletic, attractive – has given up his life as a successful young businessman in order to make over Donna’s taverna and marry Sophie. Tenor.
Sophie
Featured Singer
A very special young woman who is determined to find the romance and happiness she feels eluded her mother.
Has a wild, zany spirit even though she pursues a conventional marriage. Pop Soprano or Alto/Mezzo.
